Same-sex marriage is not a partisan issue. It is an issue of equality, plain and simple. His speech was not a standard congratulatory "yay look at how far we've come." It was "we have a long way to go"-you know, a PRODUCTIVE speech. Antigay laws are one of the biggest obstacles to equality today, and Deval is right to do everything he can for gay rights and to fight against discriminition. That is how to honor MLK.
